Sebold Heating and Cooling went on a service call in Jordan, MN. When walking up to the Air Conditioner we noticed the neighbors’ venting coming out of the house…which was not up to par. When venting a furnace you should never try to exceed more then 3 feet of pipe on the outside. If you have greater than 3 feet, it should be insulated. Also venting should pitch back water to the furnace, so it doesn’t freeze the water and block the pipe.

Proper piping and venting is a must to ensure safety and effectiveness of your HVAC systems.
